High-ranking Executive Resigns After Viral Kiss Cam Moment
In a surprising turn of events, Kristin Cabot, a high-ranking executive at the tech company Astronomer, has opted to resign. This news comes after a viral incident where she was caught on camera in a seemingly intimate moment with her company’s CEO, Andy Byron, at a Coldplay concert.
Viral Moment Sparks Controversy
The incident went viral when Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, asked the cameras to scan the crowd during his “Jumbotron Song” at a concert held in Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts. Cabot and Byron were seen cuddling and smiling. However, when they appeared on the big screen, both appeared shocked. Cabot’s hands flew to her face and she spun away from the camera while Byron ducked out of the frame.
CEO Resigns Amid Investigation
In the aftermath of the viral moment, Astronomer put CEO Andy Byron on leave pending an investigation. Byron resigned from his position shortly after. The company has since confirmed the identities of the individuals involved in the viral incident. Both Cabot’s and Byron’s profiles have been removed from the Astronomer’s website, and a press release announcing Cabot’s hiring in November has been deleted.
Aftermath of Viral Video
The viral video resulted in a flurry of memes, parody videos, and screenshots of the pair’s shocked faces filling social media feeds. Singer Chris Martin jokingly commented on the incident during the concert saying, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.” Online sleuths quickly discovered the identities of Cabot and Byron, which were later confirmed by the company.
